The Pollution Prevention Task Force recommends and oversees programs that help cities to:

• Prevent or reduce pollutant runoff from municipal operations including streets, highways, municipal parking lots, maintenance facilities, storage yards, and waste transfer stations.
• Remove floatables and other pollutants discharged from storm sewers and develop procedures for proper disposal of these wastes.
